The Benefits of Healing

Healing is like a forever kind of love – with yourself. As much as we believe that healing is about bubble baths, walks in the park, meditation, vacations and treating yourself (and, trust me, these things are amazing when you want to increase your self-care), I would describe healing more as being about facing yourself.

Yes, self-care can make you feel good and increase your love for self, but it won’t undo the emotional wounds you have been building up and carrying with you over the years. This is why, I believe, healing isn’t about changing your environment – instead, healing is about changing yourself!

Healing begins the moment you start choosing yourself. Healing is about owning the fact that some of the pain you hold, feel or carry comes from the choices you made. And when you’re ready to truly be honest about this, to be honest with yourself, healing will become humbling. ’Cause it’s not about blaming the past but instead about understanding why and how your past has shaped you. Healing isn’t about becoming perfect or perfection, but is simply about progress, acceptance and self-love.

The moment you are ready to face and heal your trauma(s), you heal the nervous system. When you heal your nervous system, you heal your emotional body. When you heal your emotional body, you heal your psychic body. When you heal your psychic body, you heal vibration. And, get ready… once your vibration is healed, your reality will change!

So, let’s take a deep dive with me. Will you?

Healing begins with acknowledging the emptiness, loneliness, frustrations, unsettlement (or any other uncomfortable feeling you experience), and allowing yourself to feel, express and process these emotions you have been holding back or inside. My personal life quote is: You have to feel it to heal it. And allowing yourself to feel all of it can and will be scary, horrible, painful, heartbreaking, uncomfortable, and like the loneliest, most stinging, biggest, unsettled pain and sorrow you have ever experienced. It can truly rip your heart and body open to the extent that you feel like you can’t even hold your breath, body parts or soul together any longer. But the moment you allow yourself to truly feel it, is the only way for you to release it. It’s the only way to experience liberation of the darkness that’s been holding you down, while you’re slowly, step by step, finding your way back into the light.

There are many ways to release this energy (emotions are energy in motion), which could be through crying, screaming, running, dancing, cycling, moving, talking or anything else which will allow movement inside your body back out. Releasing these emotions isn’t just a physiological act; it’s a profound physiological necessity! Because the moment you are letting go, you free up your brain and body (and spirit!), which means you’re allowing them again to function more efficiently and naturally. You truly have to learn to become comfortable with feeling this discomfort (and trusting you are strong enough to handle it) while you’re slowly releasing and letting go. The moment you allow yourself to do this, you’re making room and space to shine your own light again.

And, let me remind you, you have come way too far and worked way too hard holding yourself down to let a season of darkness convince you that there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. ’Cause, believe me, there is hope! There is light! And there will be forgiveness.

Healing, you don’t do for anybody else but yourself, simply because healing is, in my eyes, the end of conflict with yourself. Truly decide to keep what is worth keeping, and, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.

As you heal, things will become clear: Attention isn’t love, attachment isn’t connection and codependency isn’t support. Disagreements aren’t attacks, lacking boundaries isn’t empathy and no amount of external validation can replace self-love. Trauma bonding isn’t healing, ignoring your needs isn’t strength, people pleasing isn’t kindness, staying in toxic situations isn’t loyalty, numbing your emotions isn’t coping, and suppressing your emotions or staying silent isn’t peace. The moment you heal, you stop mistaking chaos for passion or entertaining what drains you.

You might think, “I have already released people or my traumas,” but oftentimes, we have done this only mentally. And I would love for you take a deep dive and truly question yourself: Have you done this also emotionally, physically and spiritually?

From this moment on in life, I would consider myself a healer, and what I mean by this is: I have gained the power and wisdom by healing my own traumas first, to now guide others to use a similar healing template to heal theirs too. Through the darkness I have faced, my own personal healing abilities arose. And, I believe, the more darkness you face, the greater of an alchemist you become. But, let me clarify: a healer doesn’t heal you! But what we do is we are able to channel a high frequency while holding a safe space for you, so you are able to heal yourself. Therefore, healers transmute not just their own darkness, but also the darkness around them into light. The moment healers heal themselves, they naturally will start to hold a vibration which will allow others to heal into. This means that the moment you learn to heal yourself, you will be able to invite everyone and everything around you to heal with you too.

Healers have the biggest hearts and will always be able to see others in their wholeness.

We are here together on this beautiful planet, which holds an infinite amount of love. This is why I am saying this with love: the frequency of healing lives within you! You deserve to surround yourself with healers and you deserve to heal yourself. You are more than capable of finding connections which will help you heal and rise, instead of pulling you underneath the waves. You truly are holding and controlling your own medicine, through the daily choices you make.
